How can YOU Champion UCM this #GivingTuesday?
Are you looking for a way to make a difference this fall? We can use your help.
On November 28, we are joining #GivingTuesday, a national day of generosity. It’s a day when you can make a big impact on United Campus Ministry and the students we serve. The focus for #GivingTuesday is to create sustainability for the vital ministry impact of UCM into the future.
UCM offers a transformative community that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of students while offering them life‐ and world‐changing experiences like mission trips and Montreat College Conference, as well as opportunities to grow in faith and leadership.
Recent alumni, Fran Delacey and Jack Gordon, describe their experience at United Campus Ministry this way:
“UCM was a home away from home for my entire time at Arkansas. My dear friend Alex Pickell invited me to Monday lunch on my first day of freshman year and I can count on one hand the Monday Lunches I missed over the next four years. UCM offers a support system like no other, whether it’s finding lifelong friends, someone to lean on, or even just a cozy spot to study. It is the most unique, diverse, and welcoming student group on campus. As a member of UCM during covid, it is very inspiring to watch participation numbers soar again. I know there will always be a home for students at UCM” – Fran Delacey
“My five-year journey at UCM began when a friend introduced me, and it quickly became an integral part of my life. UCM provided me with lasting friendships, meaningful events, and a strong sense of community. The free food not only satisfied my physical hunger but also symbolized the togetherness and unity that defines UCM. This experience has significantly impacted my life and will always hold a special place in my heart.” – Jack Gordon
Please consider partnering with United Campus Ministry on #GivingTuesday to make a monthly (or one‐time) gift to UCM to help continue the legacy of hospitality and welcome at the University of Arkansas.
There are some additional ways that you can help UCM during the #GivingTuesday campaign:
- Plan to give on #Giving Tuesday
- Ask your friends and family to support UCM
- Promote UCM #Giving Tuesday on your social media
- Ask your church if you can do a “Minute for Mission”
- Provide matching funds for other gifts by pre-giving to the campaign.
We deeply appreciate your investment in engaging, equipping, and empowering leaders for the church and the world. We literally can’t do it without you!
Thank you,
Kristi Button and Carol Essen, Co‐Directors of Campus Ministry
